Northern Lights Bunny
Where Wild Feels Like Home Collection
Inspired by winter nights in Girdwood, Alaska, Northern Lights Bunny captures the magic of the aurora borealis dancing above Mt. Alyeska.
Living at the base of the mountain, I've experienced the beauty of the northern lights illuminating the night sky and the snowshoe hares that visit our neighborhood throughout the winter.
In this painting, a small white hare sits quietly beneath the snow-covered mountains, surrounded by frosted evergreens. Above, vibrant ribbons of green, pink, and red northern lights stretch across the star-filled sky while a full moon illuminates the landscape.
This painting brings together two things I love about living in Alaska: the extraordinary beauty of the northern lights and the wildlife that shares our mountain home.
